Creepy people on Facebook...

Post by Guest »

I don't get how people have the audacity to message people they don't know, acting all creepy. This is the third time this has happened to me...this guy is a mutual friend of two of my FB friends, but one of them doesn't even live in this state and I never even saw this guy, he never talked to me.

Creep:Hey, you work at the (insert my town and employer), right?
Me: Yes.
Why?
Creep: Just curious. I saw you there the other day.
I thought you were cute, just saying....

I was like um...okay? The guy's like 30 years old and I'm 18. It was so creepy. I just lied and said I was spoken for and he said "okay". But seriously, I get there are creeps out there but I would never message a stranger I saw in a store and message him. He obviously stalked to find me on Facebook. Seriously, just creepy.

Anyone else go through this?

That is creepy! Something that sucks even more is when they don't really take a hint, even if you inform them of you having a significant other, they persist. -____-

My sister was going out with a guy and long story short, it turns out he had a wife (and a little boy) so my sister stopped seeing him. The dude got angry and started sending her things about how she was a whore and whatnot, then he felt bad, pretended it wasn't him, and started sending my sister and I messages claiming he loved her and missed her a lot (which we both ignored and even blocked him for). Apparently, his wife found out who my sister was (the guy told her, saying she was coming onto him) and started sending her the most spiteful things ever on Facebook, and even went as far as to call me a slut and send me messages. I've never even seen this woman...We both explained the situation to her and even showed her proof, i.e. texts and photos he had sent her, but she continued to bother us. She even went as far as to contact our father to tell him what a horrible person we both are.
There are some messed up people out there, man. Seriously.
The worst thing is that my boyfriend of four years is cousins with him, so family reunions are a bit...tense to say the least. :?

I get creepers all the time, friends of friends who just see my profile picture and send me "hey youre cute lets talk" messages. But only once was I legitimately freaked out and annoyed. When I was in college I had to go downtown to fill out some paperwork, and our public transit is free within the city limits, so I take the bus once I get near enough. Some random guy came and sat next to me, introduced himself and then played lines trying to get my number. I was trying to brush him off without being mean, so I told him I was with someone and then got off the bus. About 2 months later I got a facebook friend request from him with a message saying he'd been trying to find me since I "played hard to get" on the bus. I didn't even tell him my name! He managed to track me down just based off the school I went to, the bus I was on and what I looked like. I blocked him and made it so that nobody could search for me, see my information, send me messages or anything if they weren't on my friend's list. That freaked me out.

Oh damn, that is creepy! Sorry that happened to you! And that's awful you have to see him lol.

I did have a customer ask me out at work the other day but I'm truly in a "no guys, trying to find myself" deal right now so I turned him down, this wasn't the same guy though. I hope this guy doesn't keep up. I didn't block him but I will if he persists. I once had a girl friend me, I thought she was someone else and then she messages me calling me a fat bitch and saying to delete her...um....you added me honey.

You have to be so careful, you're still so young, have you reported him on Facebook? I would block/report him, you can never be too careful. It's a bit psycho to do what he's done to you. I've had a few creeps message me on FB, but I always tell them I'm married and my hubby doesn't take nonsense from strangers flirting with his wife, so would they like him to get in contact with them haha that always works like a charm. I don't know who the hell has time to stalk facebook strangers. 8-)

Oh god....girls, if you ever meet with a internet creeper like those, do not hesitate to block him, don't even respond to him. you will never regret it.

I had a really persistent one that was after my back. He was really creepy and in fact most likely psychopathic. He constantly told me about his sob stories and say he will find me wherever I am :? He even had the time to create multiple accounts after my many attempts of blocking him. I would have really filed a police report if I could accurately identify who he is.

I can't stand the creeps on facebook. Some will not take no for an answer. I added one guy, because we play the same games. He said hi, and I said hi back. It was just small talk for about five minutes. He asked me if I was married, and I said yes. He asked if it was a "love marriage" Yes, it is! He dropped it, and I thought all things are good, until the next day. He went on to ask me if my husband loves me. I told him that he does, and that I was a very lucky woman. The dude said "Yes u very lucky 2 men loves you very much, your husband and me" I answered with a block.

I've had a lot of creepy guys on facebook, which is understandable because still in high school. I haven't even met the majority of the guys yet they still continue to message me. I've had some message me pretty inappropriate things in the past.. they were blocked immediately. :x

I do not know if that fits in this category but I know that lot of guys actually surf on facebook and find some pretty girl(stranger) watch their pics and .... use it like they would use porn while they ''play'' with themselves....
My account has always been private but that thought even makes me sick..

Also, there was a news that there was some page for mothers, who surf on facebook baby pictures and comment them in really rude way(calling babies ugly etc.. ) :? :? :?
I'm mother too and I have never put up pictures of my twin boys.... People always think what is wrong with me, every other mother puts up pictures with their children...Well, know they know why,

My creepers are pretty much guys that were a couple grades above me and never have spoken 2 words to in high school, but know they suddenly want to talk and "perhaps get a bite to eat". I mean it's not really creepy but I know they just are looking for a quick hook-up.

I remember one guy messaged me hey and all I did was reply no and promptly blocked him. Eh maybe it was a bitchy thing to do, but I'm sick of people I hardly know trying to talk to me on facebook. Like I just don't care.

I got a really weird message once that really creeped me out. I'm sure you guys have all had some random person who you don't know add you (usually from a foreign country), and this one decided to send me a message. His name on Facebook was John Kennedy lol. This is the message:

"Hello Angel, You have a wonderful and charming look of which every man that knows something good must appreciate the good creature of the Almighty.
I must say that you are an epitome of natural beauty and I would like to know you better and I hope to be your very good friend.
Since the first time I saw your face here on the face book I find it hard to erase it out of my mind.
Please my new friend tell me more about yourself, what is your Nationality, I think I need to know about you as your good friend.
Sorry if I ask too much Question just want to know my new friend better, I am John Kennedy , British National and a top senior army officer and I will tell you more about myself too when I get your reply, please tell me more about your country.
Do have a good day"

I blocked him so fast haha. Man, but some of your stories about people who have tracked you down are really scary. Everyone be safe! :D

I'm having the same trouble, I used to work at the same store as this dude but left 3 years ago. He added me about 3 weeks ago, since then he has been non stop persistent. He threw a fit when I went to the cinema because he assumed I was going with a guy (I did, but I felt that I didn't need to justify myself to him). Constantly messages me throughout the day and when I don't reply always says stuff like "oh always too busy for me". If I say I'm going out he always enquires where and with who. When I said I was going to uni he said he felt sad because "you might get snapped up by some uni lad". It's madness, he thinks we have a lot in common but in honesty we don't. I've tried to make it obvious that I'm not interested but some idiot has told this guy that persistence is essential for getting a girl. Did I mention this guy is 10 years older than me. He's 35, honestly the things he says and his behaviour is straight up immature, desperate and unwanted.

You need to block this guy. No explainations, no bargaining, no nothing. You don't owe this person anything.

Sounds a bit like the one I had problem with. After 3 years he just suddenly want to hook you up? He must have some issue there. Like what Nergregga has suggested, block him. There is no other better solution for you to show him that you have no interest at all. As long as he could reach you via messages, etc, he will think he has hope and you are slowly buying his stupid persistent game, which will encourage him to keep doing whatever he is doing. Cut off any contact with him before it gets worse. I passionately hate whoever thinks pure persistent is going to you a boy/girl. It may work in your tv drama soap, but not so much in reality. The headache and frustration being caused are great enough to turned us off even further.

YES! It is stressing me a bit. His negativity and whole "oh but you don't like me" woe is a drain on my life. He always picks up on me reading messages and not replying "you're ignoring me". He always changes the subject from what I'm talking about to "yes ok, so when are we going out?" Dude, I was talking about animal liberation, not a date with you. It's like he doesn't really have much of an interest even though he thinks we have oh so much in common. The persistence is downright embarrassing, if this was vice versa,I would of given up long ago.

I posted a message in a group related to my university about selling a textbook.. and this guy who I guess goes to my university messages me and asks about the book. I answer with one words like yes, no, $40, tomorrow, etc. Turns out he doesn't want to buy it from me, but he still proceeds to try to get to know me and flirt with me. I tell him my program and he's like "weird! I've never seen you before." Best part? My profile picture is a cartoon Princess Anastasia. None of my actual pictures are available to the public, so he has no idea what I even look like. He's literally chatting up a girl he thinks is a cartoon princess. Not exactly creepy, but just funny.

Then he asks to add me as a friend, I'm guessing he wants to see what I look like. So I add him, little does he know I privatized all my pictures to "Only Me" so all he sees still is a picture of Princess Anastasia the cartoon  he messages me with " :| " I'm going to have fun trolling this guy.
